My name is Cathy Deaton.
This site has been a labor of love for me since 2003. I felt that God wanted me to do a web site, but I had no idea what it should be about. He pointed me to some excellent books. Most were in public domain, but the author of Concise Bible Atlas just gave me total permission to use his book. I found it to be one of the most interesting.
I learned a huge amount about the Bible while doing this site, because I had to take the text from the older books and put it into today's language. It took a lot of concentration for each article. I started to see the people in the Bible as truly REAL instead of just a true story that happened thousands of years ago.
I learned about the geography of the land so that now when I read the Bible I can envision how its layout for the particular verse that I am reading.
A huge thing that I realized, is God purposely showed the strengths and weaknesses of the people inside its covers. There were great men and women of God that made terrible mistakes, but God forgave and restored them when they asked Him. His grace, mercy, and forgiveness is on just about every page of the Bible.
It made me realize that He would do the same thing for me that He had done for them. When I fail, God is always waiting to pick me up and restore me if I ask.
The Bible is the one true blueprint that a Christian can live by for a victorious life.
I know that reading on a monitor is not the easiest thing to do, so I have tried to make the text larger than normal and also short enough that you can read it in 5 - 10 minutes. You can also print it out.
Please bookmark this site and come back to it frequently so that you can take your time going through the books. Most of them are all in archives now, and you can read them in short bits that are not too overwhelming.

I have also written an eBook for the Christian that desires to live victoriously. It covers almost every area of life. I have lived everything in this book for at least the last 10 years. I know that it is real.
I grew up in church, and asked Jesus to come into my heart at an early age, but I just didn't have a personal relationship with God. I thought that I was a good Christian because I went to church and participated in everything that went on there.
I finally realized that I needed to KNOW the character of God, and not just know stories about Him. He started to become very real to me, and my life has never been the same. It is so exciting to see Him opening new doors and showing me things that I've never known before. I have found that it certainly is not boring to follow God.
